Classico sounds a bit like a jar of tomato sauce, but I suppose the man on the shirt is Italian, so it’s not completely ridiculous. I was never very big on Popeye, the super power up of spinach never captured me (the way a similar power up did on the Gummi Bears).. maybe it had to do with it being spinach. Also, let’s be fair, his girlfriend was not attractive and pretty annoying. Bluto can have her, as far as I’m concerned. Mario, of course, as I’ve well documented, is my guy. Well, he and his brother. I’m not sure if there’s a connection between being a sailor and being a plumber, and, similar to spinach, I was never a huge fan of mushrooms growing up, but I would rock this shirt for sure. Smurf? ANGRY Smurf! From their Dutch beginnings, the Smurfs have always kind of freaked me out a little bit. I mean, they’re really weird. This shirt depicts a particularly incensed unidentifiable (I think.. I don’t remember Angry Tribal Smurf, at least) Smurf flying through the air, ready to shoot something with his arrow. Makes.. sense? (Available at Threadless)
Cartoon wigs! Hilarious and fun to try to figure out. I see Olive Oyl, Betty Boop, Wilma Flintstone, Smurfette, Shaggy (did anyone know his last name? I didn’t!), Josie, Adam (a.k.a. He-Man!), Calvin, Homer, Master Shake, and more. Guaranteed to have people stop you to try to identify them – just make sure you know them all! (Available at Threadless)
I’m not sure why Charles Schulz decided to name his famous comic Peanuts. As a child, I remember calling it Charlie Brown, and the cartoons based on the comics were as far as I can remember always named after a character (It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown). Still, it was named Peanuts, and this shirt shows what the children would have looked like as real peanuts. Well, children including the standard children (Charlie Brown, Lucy, Pigpen, Linus, etc.) but also the animals Snoopy and Woodstock, as or more famous than some of the other secondary characters. I particularly like how Woodstock appears to be a single peanut instead of the full peanut shell. (Available at Threadless)
Little turtle! I’m not sure I know exactly why a turtle needs to shapeshift – they seem pretty safe in their shells – but I like the idea. Their already geometric shell patterns lend themselves to computer generated 3D modeling, so I suppose one leads to the other easily, if not for an obvious purpose. I’d still like to see it! Well, Papa Smurf might very well lead a tough life, I don’t know. I suppose he is constantly getting chased by Gargamel and Azrael, and wrangling and taking advantage of the various personalities of the smurfs to keep them safe. Still, the gang life tattoos and smoking depicted on this shirt paint a picture that I don’t quite remember from the comics. That being said, the original Smurfs comic books were shied away from lest people think they’re racist, so maybe he picked up all of his bad habits from his time in the joint. Inspired by Sin City? Yeah, sounds good to me. Wonderful noir shadow effect through the blinds, and everyone knows I love me some old timey stuff. (Available at Design By Humans)

Pretty awesome stuff. I’ve never completely “understood” Charlie Brown, but he’s at very least a likable sad sack. I suppose this, the dark Charlie Brown, is the inverse of that, what with it’s reverse color shirt and skulls and such. Emo C. Brown? Actually, I guess the inverse of Chuck would be an extremely happy and self-confident guy. So really, this is just what he probably wears on weekends, or perhaps when he hits high school. Charlie Brown is already pretty dark, this just seems like what he’d wear when he starts buying his own clothes. (Available at Design By Humans)
