I’m not sure what swarms really look like real close up, but I imagine it’s at best a chaotic mess of violence and mob mentality. The swarm of bees on this shirt is a bit frightening, but in that good sort of way. Or at least in that I really like the design and wish to wear your swarm kind of way. (Available at Design By Humans)
I will once again quote the designer:
The American Civil War battle of the Merrimack vs. the Monitor was the first battle in the world between two armored ships, and as a kid I thought it was so cool that these two indestructible ships were pounding away at each other for hours, but neither one could even make a dent.
In this design, the two rivals must put aside their differences in the face of an even greater danger. It’s kind of like Godzilla and King Kong teaming up to fight off a comet…
This is part 2 of a trilogy of American history designs featuring “what if?” scenarios with giant robots. the first one was Twenty if by Giant Robot.
What more can I add to that? I own the previous shirt in his series, I feel like I must get this, and the third is almost a given at this point. It looks like the steel battleships are doing pretty good against the giant robot, really. They have one hand tentacle thing blown off and smoking, and they’re in good position for the fight (I think?). (Available at Threadless)
I’ll quote the designer of this sweet shirt – I drew this while listening to The Raconteurs – Consolers of The Lonely. I have the album and can definitely see the influence it had. I love the old timey skeleton with his old timey mustache (and monacle!), I love the banjo/drum one man band-ish thing, and I love that he’s hocking miracle tonic. Sign me up, I’ve been in need of a cure-all for a while now. (Available at Threadless)
Hilarious shirt. I love the idea of a couple of piggy banks getting their coins from a poor piggy bank victim, and the sunglasses and knives kill it. I can’t blame the victim too much I guess, I’d give my money to a piggy bank at knife point. (Available at Threadless)
Not your average wingtips, but instead the Greek version. Or Mercury, I believe, if you swing that way. This is a little amusing, but honestly, this is mostly a cool shirt because of the gold metallic ink. Otherwise, it’s just okay. (Available at Threadless)
I suppose this is more of a suicide flight than a free, divine, fun kind of flight, but I still think it’s a pretty image. Even if the man is about to plummet to his death, the city underground and the freedom (okay, so he seems a little free) he exhibits is pretty awesome.. if, sad. (Available at Design By Humans)
I’m not sure I like this that much more than I would your standard “foxy hip hop” image, but it’s pretty amusing. It reminds me of The Fantastic Mr. Fox, for obvious reasons. I have yet to see that movie, I wonder if he raps at all in it.. (Available at Threadless)
So what if the milky way were made out of milk? Is this shirt the origin of the universe? Was it really a carton of milk? Friggin deep, man. (Available at Threadless)
I always suspected that owls were considered wise because of their big eyes. They see everything, perched atop a tree branch, and become wise beyond their years (and I think they live a long time). It turns out, maybe they’re just learned animals and got smart because they’ve studied a bunch. All of those books (and a globe! Impressive for a woodland creature!) led to their superior intellect. This kind of reminds me of the forest shirt from a week or two ago, that I was also a big fan of. (Available at Threadless)
Fast food is food that is fast, right? I feel sorry for the soda, it got slapped in the face with the burger’s pickles. (Available at Threadless)
Oh, to be a child sitting in a chair fort. Is there anything as enchanting? Actually, I think this image captures the spirit of chair forts very well, as the blanket-and-chair structures to combine into a mystical castle that sweeps us away. Or, at least, swept us away, as it’s been too many years since I’ve been in one. (Available at Threadless)
Let’s just talk a little bit about some of the features on Evil Corp’s Killer Whale. Titanium steel reinforced spinal plates, spiked tail, serrated dorsal flaps, missile launchers, gattling gun, steel flipper blades, and.. yeah, a mind control device. I wouldn’t mess with this orca, that’s for sure. (Available at Threadless)
I love cutaway drawings where you see the little people or elves running around powering the seemingly complicated machine (or in this case, animal) with miniature human labor. Therefore, I love this shirt. (Available at Threadless)
Pretty simple visual on this t-shirt of what a jellyfish would look like were it made of electrical cords, right? No, not quite. I don’t think I could have come up with something this awesome with that charge. Really cool looking shirt off of a very simple theme. (Available at Threadless)
Man, some people just don’t like lunch. I think they’re crazy, it’s probably my favorite meal of the day, but I won’t question someone who comes at me with a katana, that’s for sure. I wonder if the right clever bento box would change this samurai’s mind.. (Available at Threadless)
Clearly the t-shirt that Mario would wear if he were a fan of surrealism. I think this is absolutely hilarious. Magritte would be proud, or at least if he were a Nintendo fan, he would. A video game and modern art mashup. (Available at Threadless)
I know exactly what I like about this shirt. The image is cool, the way the astronaut is depicted in contrast, yadda yadda. What makes the shirt is the reflection in the spaceman’s helmet – seeing his partners in golf (it’s a foursome, right?), the flag.. that’s pretty awesome. (Available at Design By Humans)
Not a lot to say here, there is an astronaut zooming through the stars on a skateboard. I’ll repeat, spaceman skating on a skateboard. Yep. (Available at Design By Humans)
Pretty little image. Poor girl lives in a dull gray polluted city of a home, but learns to (I believe whether literally or metaphorically we can decide on our own) peel back the grime to find the blue sky underneath. Or maybe it’s a hidden secret thing and she gets transported into a world of her own (which meshes with the nightshirt she’s wearing I guess). Either way, pretty t-shirt. (Available at Threadless)
